Trading Name: All Wheels Workshop
Legal Entity: A&A Ventures Limited
Location: Dublin, Ireland

1. About All Wheels Workshop

All Wheels Workshop is the trading name of A&A Ventures Limited, an Irish company primarily focused on the sale, refurbishment, maintenance and repair of bicycles and e-bikes.

We also provide selected minor maintenance and repair services for:

  • Scooters
  • Motorcycles
  • Cars

These additional services are secondary to our main bicycle and e-bike business.

This policy explains the terms that apply to our products and services, including bicycle and e-bike sales, repairs, mobile services, payments, cancellations, returns, refunds and complaints.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any statutory consumer rights that apply under Irish or EU law. Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the applicable law will prevail.

2. Used, Pre-Owned and Refurbished Bicycles

All Wheels Workshop sells pre-owned, used, refurbished and reconditioned bicycles and e-bikes.

Because these products have previously been used, they may show reasonable signs of previous use, including:

  • Scratches
  • Paint wear
  • Minor cosmetic marks
  • Age-related wear
  • Replaced components
  • Other imperfections consistent with previous use

The condition of each bicycle or e-bike will be reflected in its photographs and price where appropriate.

A second-hand product does not have to meet the same standard as a brand-new product. However, when sold by a business, it must still comply with applicable consumer law, including being fit for its normal purpose and matching its description. The expected quality should consider that the product is second-hand and the price paid.

Any known significant defect that is disclosed to the customer before purchase will be taken into consideration when assessing the customer’s rights.

3. Refurbishment and Inspection

Where a bicycle or e-bike is advertised as “refurbished”, “serviced”, “reconditioned” or “inspected”, this refers to the work actually carried out by All Wheels Workshop.

Depending on the bicycle, this may include:

  • Brake inspection and adjustment
  • Gear adjustment
  • Chain inspection
  • Tyre and inner tube inspection
  • Wheel inspection
  • Drivetrain inspection
  • Headset inspection
  • Cleaning
  • Replacement of selected components
  • Electrical checks on e-bikes
  • Safety checks
  • Where appropriate, a test ride

The exact work carried out may vary from one bicycle to another.

“Refurbished” does not mean that every component is new.

4. E-Bikes

E-bikes contain electrical and battery components that require additional inspection.

Where applicable, we may inspect:

  • Motor operation
  • Battery operation
  • Charging function
  • Charger
  • Display/controller
  • Electrical connections
  • Brakes
  • Tyres
  • Wheels
  • Drivetrain
  • Frame and fork
  • Lights and other relevant components

For used e-bikes, battery performance may vary depending on:

  • Age
  • Previous use
  • Charging history
  • Storage
  • Model
  • General condition

Unless specifically stated otherwise, a used e-bike should not be understood to have a new battery.

Where battery testing or other relevant testing has been carried out, information available to us will be communicated to the customer.

5. Product Safety

All Wheels Workshop takes reasonable steps to ensure that bicycles and e-bikes supplied to customers are safe and suitable for their intended use.

Customers should stop using a bicycle or e-bike and contact us if they become aware of a potentially serious safety issue.

Examples include:

  • Brake failure
  • Damaged frame or fork
  • Significant wheel damage
  • Battery damage
  • Overheating
  • Smoke or burning smell
  • Unusual electrical behaviour
  • Another condition that could present a safety risk

6. Prices and VAT

Prices displayed to consumers will be clearly stated.

Where applicable, prices will include VAT.

Any additional charges, including delivery, mobile call-out or other charges, will be communicated before the customer commits to the purchase or service, where reasonably possible.

7. In-Person Bicycle Purchases

Customers are encouraged to inspect a bicycle or e-bike before purchasing it.

Customers may ask questions about:

  • Condition
  • Specification
  • Previous use
  • Refurbishment work
  • Components
  • Battery condition
  • Known issues

Where a test ride is offered, the customer must follow our safety instructions.

A customer does not generally have an automatic statutory right to return an accurately described product purchased in person simply because they change their mind.

However, this does not affect statutory rights relating to faulty, unsafe or incorrectly described goods.

8. Faulty or Non-Conforming Products

If a bicycle or e-bike does not comply with the customer’s statutory consumer rights, All Wheels Workshop will deal with the issue in accordance with applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, available remedies may include:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Price reduction
  • Termination of the contract and a refund

For qualifying faults reported within 30 days, consumers generally have a short-term right to terminate the sales contract and receive a full refund, although consumers may choose a repair or replacement instead in appropriate circumstances.

Nothing in this policy limits those statutory rights.

9. Normal Wear, Accidental Damage and Misuse

Bicycles and e-bikes contain components that naturally wear through use.

Examples include:

  • Brake pads
  • Brake cables
  • Chains
  • Cassettes
  • Sprockets
  • Tyres
  • Inner tubes
  • Grips
  • Bearings
  • Pedals
  • Batteries

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage or damage caused by misuse is not automatically a defect for which All Wheels Workshop is responsible.

However, this does not remove any statutory consumer rights where the issue constitutes a lack of conformity under applicable law.

10. Repairs and Maintenance

All Wheels Workshop provides bicycle and e-bike repair and maintenance services and selected minor repair and maintenance services for scooters, motorcycles and cars.

Our services will be provided with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the agreed service.

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide an estimate or agreed price before carrying out work.

An estimate may include:

  • Labour
  • Parts
  • VAT
  • Applicable additional charges

Irish consumer law provides protections relating to services, including requirements concerning reasonable care and skill and conformity with the agreed service.

11. Repair Estimates

Repair estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection.

The final price may change if additional faults are discovered or additional work becomes necessary.

Where additional chargeable work is required, we will normally seek the customer’s approval before proceeding.

12. Customer-Provided Parts

Where agreed, customers may provide their own parts for installation.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that customer-provided parts are genuine and suitable for the intended bicycle, e-bike, scooter, motorcycle or vehicle.

All Wheels Workshop may refuse to install a part that we reasonably consider:

  • Unsafe
  • Incompatible
  • Defective
  • Unsuitable
  • Likely to compromise the safety of the vehicle or bicycle

Our responsibility for workmanship is separate from the manufacturer’s responsibility for a customer-supplied component.

13. Mobile / At-Home Repair Services

All Wheels Workshop may provide selected repair and maintenance services at the customer’s location.

Mobile services may be subject to:

  • Availability
  • Travel distance
  • Type of repair
  • Required tools
  • Parts availability
  • Location suitability

A mobile appointment may require a booking fee or advance payment to secure the appointment.

14. Mobile Repair Booking Fee

Where a booking fee applies, the customer will be informed of the amount before confirming the appointment.

Standard Mobile Repair Booking Fee: €20

This fee secures your appointment and will be deducted from the final repair bill.

The booking fee is intended to secure the agreed appointment and compensate for the time reserved for the customer.

The fee is not an additional repair charge where it is stated that it will be deducted from the final invoice.

15. Mobile Repair Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances can change.

Customers should provide as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a mobile appointment.

Where a customer cancels or reschedules with at least 24 hours’ notice, the booking fee will normally be:

  • Transferred to a new appointment; or
  • Refunded, where appropriate

Where a customer cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, repeatedly reschedules, or is unavailable at the agreed location and time, the booking fee may be retained to cover the appointment time reserved and associated preparation or travel costs.

Where a customer does not attend or is unavailable when the technician arrives, the booking may be treated as a late cancellation.

This policy is subject to any statutory cancellation rights that may apply to the particular contract.

16. Mobile Repair and Distance Contracts

Where a mobile repair service is booked online, by telephone, through social media or another distance method, statutory cancellation rights may apply.

If the customer asks us to begin providing the service during the applicable cancellation period, the customer may be required to pay for the proportion of the service already supplied before cancellation, where permitted by law.

Where a service has been fully performed during the applicable cancellation period following the customer’s express request and acknowledgement of the applicable consequences, statutory cancellation rights may cease where the legal requirements are met.

17. Mobile Call-Out Charges

Where a separate call-out charge applies, it will be communicated to the customer before the appointment is confirmed.

A call-out charge may cover:

  • Travel time
  • Fuel
  • Vehicle costs
  • Preparation
  • Technician’s reserved time

A call-out charge and a booking fee are separate charges unless expressly stated otherwise.

18. Customer’s Responsibility During Mobile Service

The customer must provide:

  • Safe access to the bicycle, e-bike, scooter, motorcycle or vehicle
  • Sufficient space to perform the agreed work
  • Accurate information regarding the issue
  • Access to any required keys, chargers or security devices

All Wheels Workshop may refuse to carry out work where the location or conditions are reasonably considered unsafe.

19. Repair Approval

Where additional work is identified, the customer will normally be contacted before additional chargeable work is carried out.

Approval may be provided by:

  • Written message
  • Email
  • WhatsApp
  • Text message
  • Another agreed communication method

Where practical, we recommend retaining written approval as part of the job record.

20. Payment

Payment is due according to the agreed payment terms.

Available payment methods may include:

  • Bank transfer
  • Cash
  • Other payment methods offered by All Wheels Workshop

For certain repairs, mobile appointments or special orders, advance payment or a booking fee may be required.

21. Refunds

Refunds will be provided where required by applicable consumer law.

Any commercial refund or cancellation policy offered by All Wheels Workshop is additional to, and does not replace, statutory consumer rights.

22. Complaints

We encourage customers to contact us as soon as possible if they experience a problem with a product or service.

Where possible, complaints should include:

  • Customer’s name
  • Invoice or receipt number
  • Bicycle/e-bike/vehicle details
  • Date of purchase or repair
  • Description of the issue
  • Photographs or videos where relevant

We will review the complaint and, where appropriate, inspect the relevant product before determining the appropriate solution.

Our objective is to resolve complaints fairly and in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law.

23. Advertising and Product Descriptions

All Wheels Workshop aims to ensure that product and service descriptions are accurate.

Advertising may include:

  • Photographs
  • Specifications
  • Condition
  • Refurbishment information
  • Price
  • Available services
  • Other relevant information

We do not intentionally misrepresent the condition, specification or characteristics of a product.

24. E-Bike Conversions and Modifications

Where All Wheels Workshop carries out an e-bike conversion or modification, the proposed work and components will be discussed with the customer before installation.

The customer will be informed of relevant limitations known to us.

Where a modification may affect the legal classification, safety or permitted use of the bicycle, relevant information will be communicated to the customer.

Customers remain responsible for using modified e-bikes in accordance with applicable Irish law.

25. Customer Property

Customers should remove personal belongings from bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, motorcycles or vehicles before leaving them with All Wheels Workshop.

We will take reasonable care of customer property while it is in our possession.

Customers should inform us of valuable accessories or components that are relevant to the repair.

26. Collection of Repaired Items

Customers will be informed when their bicycle, e-bike or other vehicle is ready for collection.

Customers should collect items within a reasonable period.

Where an item remains uncollected for an extended period, we may contact the customer to arrange collection.

Any applicable storage arrangements or charges will be communicated separately.

27. Customer Records and Invoices

We may retain relevant records relating to:

  • Quotations
  • Invoices
  • Repairs
  • Customer approvals
  • Parts used
  • Photographs
  • Inspection records
  • Payments

These records may be retained for accounting, tax, legal, warranty, consumer protection and business purposes.

28. Privacy

Customer information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Information may be collected and used where reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide services
  • Process purchases
  • Issue invoices
  • Process payments
  • Communicate with customers
  • Arrange appointments
  • Maintain business records
  • Comply with legal obligations

29. Changes to This Policy

All Wheels Workshop may update this policy when necessary to reflect changes in:

  • Legislation
  • Services
  • Business practices
  • Payment methods
  • Consumer protection requirements

The version applicable to a transaction will be the version in force at the relevant time, subject to mandatory statutory rights.

30. Governing Law

This policy and the contracts between All Wheels Workshop and its customers are governed by the laws applicable in Ireland.

Nothing in this policy prevents a consumer from exercising any mandatory rights available under Irish or applicable EU consumer protection law.
